A computer systems technician works in small organizations or for individual computer users. They provide consultations on hardware, software, and office equipment, install, configure, diagnose, and upgrade computer systems, simple networks, and software, and resolve operational issues. They are proficient in office applications for creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and automating work processes. They can also create and maintain simple databases and websites. A computer systems technician may work independently or as part of a team.
