Employment description

A mechatronic systems technician works in manufacturing and service organizations. They perform tasks related to the technical maintenance of automated and computer-controlled technological processes, device assembly and adjustment, defect detection and elimination, and programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs). They organize work independently, utilize technical documentation and construction materials, and execute technological tasks for processing and manufacturing parts and assembling components.

The role involves assembling and adjusting electrical drive systems and equipment control circuits. Mechatronics integrates four disciplines: mechanics, electronics, information technology, and control systems.

Specific skills in the profession
  • Perform assembly, repair, and adjustment tasks in mechatronic systems
  • Detect and troubleshoot defects in mechatronic systems
  • Conduct operational control of mechatronic systems and quality control of technological products
  • Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic devices integrated with information technology according to instructions and descriptions
  • Carry out electrical installation work in mechatronic systems
  • Assemble and adjust electronic control circuits, blocks, and devices
  • Perform assembly tasks for mechanical components
  • Test and finalize adjustments for mechatronic systems after assembly
  • Input programmes into programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Service control devices for CNC machines
